Fast forward to 3:42 - 3:55

"No nation will have any gain driving down the fortunes of another"

Who the hell was he talking to? What was he referring to?

"This time it's different" at 4:06. Different to what? [evilgrin]

Enjoy:

  1. Aww come on... give us your interpretation, oh wise one.

  2. Thank you fellow wise one. I think he was thinking of trade war or worse. Actually his adviser were the ones doing the thunking, i should say.

Now everyone has put their heads on the chopping block, and said "this time if it doesn't work and the ponzi scheme does not continue, thou may have our heads".

Ikea will be busy selling bookshelves. heeee heee heee.

  3. Actually the US still hasn't signed up on the interbank guarantee so hold back on ordering the bookshelves.

This is political finesse at its peak, go now and fail with the rest or hedge what they still have left and gambled on the last ditch when the europeans fail later.

  4. I listened to it. I have to think he is talking about China. The comments about isolation and wall did it for me. It would also make sense the nation that has the largest reserves says I'll pass.

  5. Did you see Kashkari on CNBC this morning? Oh, man, LMAO.

  6. wow...I knew this short squeeze would be amazing, but the continued action on globex is just awesome. There goes some more market liquidity...more dead market participants!

I haven't covered any of my longs but I have covered half of my gold short in one account.

  8. I prefer on going on really quick trades with EVERYTHING I got.

The amount and the sign is less of an issue than the timing.

This game will get REALLY INSANELY scary at the 68.2% line of 112. That's a big F*in IF cuz it's 40xP/E on a dead index growing -5% a year for the next 5 at the best scenario.

  9. E4_D1 is the scenario I was talking about where that -5% growth happened and the discount rate is "low" 8% - that means the chinese just pump more money into toxic crap and broke US treasury over that time period regardless of their own well beings.

That's why I didn't allude that big of probability there, but now u see I wasn't fiddling around with numbers just to fill up a spreadsheet.

  10. So 1120 SPX is a line to watch, to possibly flip short? So you going to try to ride this long until then?

  11. I won't be paying attention at the levels as much as this calculation:

if I buy Jan 09 SPY 90 puts for $1/2/3/4 can I get 2-3-4-5 baggers or not?

The number on the left and right is absolutely up to your risk preference.

Cannot really measure with stick of variable length: namely volatility (AND very soon the $).

  12. wow...all those odd-lot shorts need to come off before we can resume the bull feast.

  13. 1929, 11.14: 217,28 +18,59 +9,36
    1931, 06.10: 99,34 +12,86 +14,87

The ratio to target is not very off. I cannot believe how investing has boiled down to one thing only: when your opponents wheels fall off.

    ReplyDelete
  14. LOL, the reason the opponents wheels have to come off is because every trade has two sides amigo! that's what this squeeze is about, not that the market became 10% better over the weekend.

well, it actually became 10% juicier to short!

    :)

  17. Mtgspy,

You are being cryptic again. Can you please explain what the 1929 and 1931 numbers are ... The first set seem to be month/dates, second set DOW values probably, but the third and fourth I have no frickin clue.
